BURGLARS targeted a Stone day nursery over the weekend, breaking in and stealing a small amount of cash.
Police were called to Giggles and Wiggles, on the Mount Road Industrial Estate, after a call reporting a break in just before 7.30am on Sunday.
A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene and following an examination established that a small quantity of cash had been stolen.”
Owner Jill Jones told the Newsletter the break in had been discovered by a handyman first thing in the morning who had called her immediately.
She said there was no sign of any vandalism but confirmed that money had been taken.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them by calling 101 and quoting incident 199 of June 17 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
