Stone teacher recognised for 'outstanding leadership'

A STONE teacher was honoured for his commitment, dedication and outstanding leadership in supporting youngsters through the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme at a special ceremony hosted by Staffordshire County Council.

Graham Finlay, head of history at Alleyne’s High School in Stone received a ‘Celebration of People Who Volunteer’ award for ‘outstanding leadership’ acknowledging his support of the UK-based achievement award scheme.

A spokesman at Alleyne’s High School said: “We are very grateful and proud of Mr Finlay for his long term support to the school and this award is a testament to his hard work and commitment.”
