STAFF and youngsters past and present gathered to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Penkridge’s Little Treasures Day Nursery.

A family fun day was held at the site in Boscomoor Lane on Saturday to mark the organisation’s first decade.
Families and former workers who have used or worked at the nursery were invited to go along and share their memories.
The day also included a visit from Olympic torch bearer Caitlen Moon, as well as arts and crafts, games, a fire engine and a balloon release.
The nursery opened in September 2002 and has gone from strength to strength, providing care for 71 children aged six weeks to 12. It also runs a nursery unit at the village’s St Michael’s First School 24 three to five-year-olds.
