THE HUNT is on for a vandal who daubed his tag all over Stone town centre this week.
Angry residents noticed the new graffiti appearing over the past weekend and are determined to track down the offender.
Councillor Jill Hood said: “A whole load of them appeared overnight on Saturday, we don’t know who is responsible but we will find out.”
A police spokesman said an investigation had been launched into the incident following the discovery of the tag, which is believed to read ‘Trak One’, in several places on Newcastle Road, Margaret Street, on bridges along the canal and around the Whitebridge Estate.
Stone PCSO Jenny Ludlow-Smith has taken responsibility for the investigation and is appealing for anyone with information or who knows the person responsible to get in touch with her at Stone police station by calling 101.
