Two arrested in Stafford drug busts

A 55-YEAR-OLD Stafford man was arrested by police after a drugs bust at an address in Cooperative Street.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Following information received a warrant was executed under the misuse of drugs act at an address in Cooperative Street, Stafford, at around 12.30pm on Thursday 10 January.”

The man was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and released on bail to appear before magistrates at Cannock later this month.

Police also executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at an address in Impstones, Gnosall, at around 8am on the same day.

A 16-year-old male was arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.

The warrants were as part of Operation Nemesis, Staffordshire Police’s ongoing crackdown on drugs misuse.
