A YOUNG man bravely fought off two would-be robbers who attacked him at a cash point in Rugeley.
The 25-year-old was trying to use the machine at Barclays Bank on Brook Square at around 11am on Friday, October 12 when the two men jumped him.
The offenders, described as white, one wearing a flat cap and the other a deer hunter style hat, escaped empty-handed, while the victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his face and back.
A police spokesman said anyone with information on the incident should call DC Matthew Horton on 101 quoting incident 531 of October 12 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
