SOLDIERS from the 22 Signals Regiment were given a warm welcome by Stafford folk when they paraded through the town to mark their return from Afghanistan.
MOD paradeOn Saturday the 200 troops exercised their freedom of the borough, which was awarded last year, to march through Stafford and assemble in Market Square.
They returned to MoD Stafford almost a fortnight ago after spending six months in Helmand Province providing vital communications services to British soldiers.
The Royal British Legion lined the parade route and the Mayor of Stafford, Councillor Ann Edgeller and the Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire James Hawley were also on hand.
