World Wrestling Enterntainments Chris Jericho, known to fans as Y2J, is touring Europe with his rock band Fozzy, having played a sold-out The Underground last night (27) in Hanley.

Broadcast journalism student Will Piper, 20, arranged the interview to take place at the Stoke campus.

Jericho, the self-proclaimed Ayotallah of Rock-and-Rolla, said: "Stoke was great last night, it was awesome to start the tour with a sold out show.

"I always get nervous, but it's good to have that nervous energy.

"Stoke's a great city and I'm glad to be back, it was a good show and thanks to everyone for coming out."

When asked about a WWE return, the self-professed King of the World, said: "I'm not quite done with wrestling yet. Never say never."

Final-year student Will told the Newsletter: "When I first heard that Fozzy were playing in Stoke my first thought was to interview them.

"I contacted the band's management and over a few weeks I got it sorted, it was exhausting but well worth it in the end.

"It was incredible. He was a fantastic speaker and answered all my questions very well."

Media Technician Richard Mortimer added: "He's certainly the biggest star we've ever had in our News Set.

"I've been a huge wrestling fan for over 20 years and it was fantastic to get to meet and work with such a legend."

Fozzy are playing throughout the UK until December 6 with the European tour finishing in Zurich on December 15th.
