The former Coronation Street star will play Bottom in this year’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Potts was a massive hit in three consecutive Stafford Festival Shakespeare productions at the castle.

He played Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night in 2009; Sir John Falstaff in Merry Wives of Windsor in 2010 and Dromio of Syracuse in Comedy of Errors in 2011.

Also returning to the helm is director Peter Rowe.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream runs from Thursday, June 27, to Saturday, July 13. For times and tickets call 01785 254653.
