A YOUNG carpenter is building a bright future after being named Stafford College’s apprentice of the year.
Zack Fox, 20, who works for Stafford and Rural Homes, fought off competition from 10 other apprentices to be crowned the overall winner.
He was presented with the award by Ruth Badger, star of The Apprentice at a ceremony last week.
Zack started his carpentry apprenticeship with Stafford and Rural Homes eight months ago after leaving school with nine GCSEs and a BTEC.
Zack’s mentor Simon Kidd said: “Zack has proven to be a great asset to Stafford and Rural Homes.
“He shows a commitment to his post and great pride in his work. I have no doubt that he will go on to become an experienced carpenter and valued member of the team.”
