Stone town centre could get a new noticeboard to highlight where independent businesses can be found.
The noticeboard will aim to help struggling traders by attracting more customers into their shops and was suggested by Councillor Rob Kenney.
The plan could see a map of businesses and event information placed in the town centre and Councillor Geoff Collier, who backs the proposal, said the board should be installed in the middle of the High Street where visitors coming in from the Morrison’s car park at Mill Street would see it.
Clerk Les Trigg told councillors a noticeboard of reasonable quality would cost around £1,500 to £2,000. To read the full story click here.
