STAFFORD Town Panthers under-11s extended their good form this week, claiming their fourth consecutive victory in the Mid Staffs Junior League.
They ran out impressive 6-2 winners over Hopton Rovers. Tom Walker opened the scoring for the Panthers and the goals then flowed from defender James Shaw (two), Zakk Duffy (two) and Emil Agell.
In the Lichfield league, Berkswich U15s progressed in the league shield with a convincing 6-1 victory over higher league Heath Hayes Blues.
Fourth division Berkswich are two leagues lower than the Blues, but the Latics, sponsored by Stafford Bathrooms, pulled the plug on their opponents’ hopes.
Two early goals from Clayton put unbeaten Berkswich in charge and Wheaton made it 3-0 at the interval. Good positive possession and a solid defence played a big part in the win.
In the second period both sides had chances and the Blues cut the deficit, before Berkswich doubled their tally with further goals from Mooney, Leeming and McMahon.
Staying with the Lichfield league and table-topping Stafford Rangers u16s emerged 4-0 victors when visiting Wyrley Juniors. The Boro side were playing in their new kit, sponsored by ACM
Consultants, for the first time and they celebrated by racing into a 3-0 half-time lead. On the mark were Connor Allcock (penalty), Olli Gibbs and Patrick Corley.
Rangers keeper Connor Alderman also played his part, pulling off several fine saves, including a penalty stop. Boro wrapped up the scoring with a Joe Kirkland goal.
On Sunday, November 3, Rangers U16s entertain Eccleshall U16s at Marston Road (2pm).
