Paramedics rush to help woman collapsed on Stafford street

EMERGENCY services rushed to reports of a woman collapsed in a Stafford street this morning.

Traffic backed up around Chell Road and Gaol Island after paramedics were called to a patient who had fallen in the middle of the road.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said there was no sign of a road traffic collision but that ambulance workers were on the scene treating the woman.

“We were called at 9:45am. We have got an ambulance in attendance. It looks like someone collapsed crossing the street. There are no signs of a traffic collision.

She said paramedics were on the scene treating the patient.
