In reply, Aston made a torrid start as Mohammed Murad (2-21) soon had them at 5-2.
Their innings never really recovered and they lost regular wickets throughout as all-rounder Attiq Chishti (4-25) and Zahor Iqbal (3-41) completed a comfortable 142 run victory.
The win leaves them 24 points ahead of second place Tamworth and 76 points clear of third place Kings Heath with five games to play.
Penkridge seconds also cemented themselves in the promotion places of the Birmingham and District Seconds Division 2 (North) with a hard fought victory over Aston Manor.
After winning the toss and asking Aston Manor to bat, Penkridge made a good start with both opening bowlers Gary Pope (2-41) and Shirjeel Mir (2-41) claiming a wicket apiece.
Aston then re- built their innings with a solid third wicket partnership but some tight bowling from Ian Brown (1-31) and wickets from Liam Kettle (2-65) meant that Aston finished on 230-8 off their 50 over’s.
Rain had slightly interrupted Aston’s innings and a recalculation meant that Penkridge need 221 to win off 44 over’s.
After losing an early wicket Penkridge kept ahead of the run rate with valuable contributions from Matt Jones (38), Andy Lawson (51) and Gary Pope (40).
As the rain kept away Simon Parnaby (21 not out) hit the winning runs as Penkridge won by four wickets with four over’s spare.
The win leaves them 24 points ahead of third place Penn with five game of the league remaining.
