Penkridge car and phone thefts: police appeal for information

POLICE are appealing for help in tracking down burglars who targeted homes and cars in Penkridge and got away with a car, mobile phones and IT equipment.

Two homes were burgled in Francis Green Lane, overnight between Thursday June 12 and Friday June 13. The offenders stole a matt dark blue/grey Ford S Max, registration DU62 KNJ, a Samsung S3 mobile phone, a black Acer laptop, a gold wireless Xbox controller and a black wireless Xbox controller from one home.

They also took a black Samsung Galaxy Ace mobile phone and an Apple iPad second generation from the second property. 

 During the same night a black leather coat and a pair of black gloves with yellow writing on them were stolen from inside an insecure car which was parked in Francis Green Lane. T

hieves also targeted a garage in Chestnut Grove, Penkridge. They forced entry to the garage and stole a sat nav and an iPod from within a car in the garage. 

"We believe all of the incidents are linked and we are appealing for anyone with information about the crimes, or the whereabouts of the stolen property, to come forward," a police spokeswoman said.
