A PENSIONER was rushed to hospital after colliding with a car as he walked in Stafford.
The 74-year-old man, from Stafford, collided with a silver Citroen Saxo in the early hours of Saturday.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire where he remains in a critical condition.
The road was closed for around three hours from 1.20am while police investigated. Officers are now appealing for information from the public.
The driver, a 23-year-old Stafford man, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and remains on bail pending further inquiries.
