CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save acute services at Stafford Hospital have stepped into a row over the online response to the award of a CBE to Julie Bailey, the founder of Cure the NHS.

Cheryl Porter, who co-founded Support Stafford Hospital told the Newsletter the group did not condone the comments on its Facebook page.

"People should not be aiming their frustrations at Julie Bailey but at the Government, Monitor and the Clinical Commissioning Groups," said Mrs Porter.

She added: "In the crisis years, Julie Bailey highlighted problems got people to look at it, money was invested and the whole hospital was turned around in two years."
