A MAN captured on CCTV, is being hunted by police after an incident where a smoke bomb was thrown onto the pitch at a Tamworth FC game, hospitalising a female steward.

Prior to kick off at a match Tamworth's home ground, on Saturday December 8 2013 where the Lambs were set to take on Bristol City in the FA Cup, a red smoke bomb was ignited and thrown onto the pitch from the away terrace.

A young female steward who inhaled the fumes needed treatment for respiratory problems at the club before being taken to the Good Hope Hospital at Sutton Coldfield for further treatment. She was discharged later that evening.

A police spokesman said: "Television Footage of the incident has been reviewed and still images have been produced of a man dressed in a dark jacket and white shirt, who we would like to speak to in connection with this incident."

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact the Football Liaison Officer on 01785 238259 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
