SOME 2,700 homes and businesses in Stafford were affected by a power cut in the early hours of this morning.
Power went off at 3.25am and a spokesman for Western Power Distribution, which oversees electricity supply for the area, said it had to reroute customers around the network until normal service was resumed.
The company said power was restored at 4.45am.
Pete Haddock said he woke up to find the oven clock not working at his Castletown home.
The Newsletter offices were also affected with only part power being restored for several hours.
