STAFFORD Rangers confirmed on Friday that two players, Kevin Street and Dean Clarke had been released by the club by mutual consent.
Whereas Clarke only joined the Marston Road club this summer after spells with Walsall, Worcester City and Wolverhampton Casuals, the experienced Street was in his second spell at the club.
Midfield Street first signed for the Boro in 2005, when Phil Robinson was the man in charge of team affairs. In that first spell he made 52 appearances for the club and also became joint caretaker boss with Neil Grayson on Robinson’s departure.
Street, who made over 200 Football League appearances with such clubs as Crewe, Luton Town and Shrewsbury Town, re-joined at the start of last season and has made over 140 appearances.
Rangers welcome back defenders Karl Espley and Luke George for Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Gresley FC. If a replay is needed it will take place at Marston Road on Tuesday, September 25 with a 7.45pm kick off.
