Rangers' sad slide

I’M an OAP and lifetime Rangers supporter and find it hard witnessing their sad decline and further relegation, this time to the non-league fourth tier, the lowest they have been in their long history.

I just wonder what the heck has been happening at Marston Road to bring this about? Without an insight into the background running of the club any opinion could only be conjecture but something has gone amiss. The league table tells its own story - this team has not been strong enough for this level of football.

The recently formed management team have steadied the boat a bit and have prevented a repeat of the earlier season wallopings but it would have been unrealistic to imagine that they would be able to claw back the huge points deficit that they had inherited.

So what of the future? All Boro supporters will be hoping that next season we shall see a revival, perhaps with an immediate return to this league. We shall see, but all the best to all concerned.
