HAVING won their opening two matches, reigning Stafford Veterans Bowls League champions Victoria Park B dropped their first point this week.

They were held to a 4-4 draw by a determined Burton Manor side, who were well served by Bruce Lumsden (pictured left) who posted a 21-7 score.

Closing the gap on Park B to a point were Rowley Park and Alstom A, while Universal A missed a chance to draw level on points at the top after being held to a 4-4 draw at Victoria Park A.

Rowley Park, who have a match in hand on the top two, made it back-to-back wins with a 5-3 success over Greenway B, thanks to John Thomas and Derek Challinor (both 21-5).
