VOTING has opened for the fourth Pride in Stafford Business Awards recognising excellent customer service in town centre shops and businesses.

The public can vote for best independent shop, best national shop, best market stall, best eatery, best bar/club and best professional service business in the awards, organised by the Town Centre Partnership and Stafford Borough Council.

Chris Lewis, chair of the Town Centre Partnership, said: “It is a great opportunity for shops and businesses to be recognised for going that extra yard to ensure the customer is put first in all that we do.

“Good businesses will always look to provide excellent service as well as the right offer for their customers – it is the key to their success.”

Councillor Frances Beatty, cabinet member for planning and regeneration added: “There is healthy competition between our local businesses to win.

"If you think one of the shops or other businesses in our town centre is worthy of picking up an award then please nominate them.”

Voting closes on May 12, and anyone who nominates a business will be entered into a draw to win two first class tickets with Virgin Trains.
