Christopher Matthews, 37, of Burton Bank Lane, Stafford, admitted stealing coffee worth £34 from the Co-op in Stafford on March 31 and stealing coffee worth £25 from the Co-op on April 8. He was given an eight-week suspended jail sentence, ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Abdul Karim Sanghori, 62, of Lister Road, Stafford, was found guilty of assaulting a man by beating and being verbally abusive towards a woman on February 18, swerving his vehicle towards a car driven by his ex-wife on March 3 and committing an offence while on a four month suspended jail sentence, issued on August 5 last year and suspended for a year. He was jailed for 16 months.
Paul John Warrington, 35, of Hawksmoor Road, Stafford, pleaded guilty to stealing three CDs and food worth £17 from Asda in Stafford on April 8. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £2 compensation, £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Allen Steven Bentley, 34, of Merrivale Road, Stafford, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the driver of a car alleged to have been guilty of an offence on August 6 last year. He was fined £600, ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £250 costs.
Beverly Joy Chester, 66, of St James Crescent, Acton Trussell, admitted driving above the 30 miles per hour speed limit on June 5 last year. She was fined £40, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and given three points on her licence.
Joe Andrew Gale, 20, of Camelford Close, Stafford, drove a car in Queensway, Stafford, with excess alcohol on April 7. He was banned from driving for 20 months, fined £200, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Walter Alan Jackson, 56, of St Luke s Walk, Rugeley, is charged with seven counts of making an indecent photograph of a child on April 11. His case has been sent to Stafford Crown Court on August 4. He was given bail.
