BLOOD DONATION: The Leahall Social Club, Sandy Lane is the venue where donors can give blood on Wednesday February 5 between 13.30pm – 15.30pm and 16.30 – 19.30. Appointments recommended but not essential. For further information please call 0300 123 23 23 or visit www.blood.co.uk

ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH: The Easter trail is on Saturday in church with a morning session 10am to 12 noon and afternoon session 2pm to 4pm. During these times there will be several showings of an interactive journey through the Easter story. Admission free, refreshments available and Easter craft for all ages. ST AUGUSTINE’S CHURCH: There is a full week of events starting on Sunday at 2pm with the Scouts Service and St George’s Day Parade. On Monday at 10.30am the Pampered Chef showcases cooking solutions for all budgets (rescheduled from Shrove Tuesday), pupils from John Bamford school will be attending a service on Tuesday at 9.45am, Lent Lunch is also on Tuesday in the church hall at 12.30pm and the Annual Church meeting is Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.


WI: Members are meeting on Wednesday at 7.45pm in the village hall, east Butts Road, for their Annual General Meeting.


VILLAGE HALL: An evening of making Easter Decorations has been organised by members of Colton WI for Wednesday from 7.30pm to 10pm. The evening’s guest is Gwen Johnson. There will be a competition for the best Easter headgear, can be anything from a traditional bonnet to fascinator, but should be made at home and bought in.
