LOVE is in the air for Stafford Borough residents of all ages today.

Valentine’s Day is upon us and it’s not just romantic couples getting into the celebratory spirit.

Schoolfriends Daisy Perry and James Ceresa, both four, shared heart-shaped goodies at Berkswich Primary.

Meanwhile in Doxey there was an emotional reunion for pensioner Maureen Roe with her horsey pal Queen of Hearts, who has moved to a new home. Maureen had been regularly visiting the mare at her former home to keep her company.

One of Queenie’s other friends, Louise Ayling, appealed for someone to adopt the mare after she was left alone in a field near Stafford when her owner was unable to catch her and move her with her stablemates.
