A FRESH approach to a takeaway classic has landed in Stafford – and residents were invited to celebrate with a party to savour.
Pizza chain Papa John’s launched its new Stafford store on Stone Road at the end of December. In total £200,000 has been invested in the new store, which has created an extra 25 jobs for Stafford.
Franchisee Buta Singh is so pleased with its success the store gave customers old and new a Saturday to remember by giving away 200 free pizzas.
He said: “We are particularly excited to have opened this new store in Stafford and are delighted that we have proven to be so popular since opening. It’s a wonderful site to be located in and one we think many Stafford residents will make use of if our continued success is anything to go by.
“This official event and pizza give-away was a way for us to say thank you to those who have already experienced our ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza’ philosophy, which has made us famous across the world.
“But it was also an opportunity for us to welcome those who aren’t familiar with the Papa John’s brand and show them what they’ve been missing.”
The pizza party began at midday on Saturday, after Stafford Mayor Angela Loughran performed the store’s official opening ceremony.
