FOUR schools were triumphant in the final of the Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnership secondary schools Sportshall Athletics finals.

Each school had made it through various heats to qualify for the final at Blessed William Howard High School (BWH).

Schools were required to field athletics in a number of events including long jump, triple jump, shot, speed bounce and a variety of relays.

The Year 8 girls competition proved to be the closest and went down to the final race. Stafford Grammar school gained first place with Walton High a close second. Sir Graham Balfour and Walton Priory tied for third with only five points separating all teams.
