LEN Bloomer has been voted in as chairman of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Authority for the sixth consecutive year.
The Staffordshire County Councillor, who lives in Seighford, has served on the Authority since 2001.
Stoke-on-Trent City Councillor Kath Banks has been re-elected as Vice Chairman for the second year in a row.
The authority is responsible for approving high profile strategies including the corporate safety plan and the budget.
Councillor Bloomer said: "Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is leading the way on the national stage and is a real pioneer of new innovations.
“As chairman it is a privilege to be a part of that work, playing a key role in supporting the ervice to achieve its aims. This, in turn, benefits our communities, making them stronger and safer."
