LOOKING forward to another successful cricket campaign are Aston CC under-11 girls (pictured).
Last summer they emerged joint winners of the North Staffordshire Girls’ Youth League title - in only their third year.
“It was absolutely wonderful news for the girls who played so well last season and had so much fun training and playing together,” said team manager Jane Martin. “For some of the girls it was their first season playing cricket.”
It was a memorable 2012 campaign for Aston CC, with the senior women’s team winning the Midland league division two title.
Aston CC are currently training at Alleyne’s Sports Centre, Stone (on Fridays) and outdoors at Alleyne’s High School during the summer. Newcomers welcome, call Margaret Hickman on 01785 760844.
