BLUEBELLES A and Junior Saints were involved in a closely fought Stafford and District Netball League division one clash last week.
Helen Skelton (C) excelled for the Belles early on and she helped her side retain a narrow one point advantage over the Saints, moving into the final half.
Saints hit back to level the scores and despite some excellent shooting by Saints’ Lucie Munday (GS) the Belles eventually held out for a 30-27 win.
In the other top flight match, Diamonds defeated leaders Stafford Ladies, fielding just five players, 31-29.
