THE NSPCC charity has benefited to the tune of £4,257 thanks to fund-raising Stafford golfers.

Last year the ladies’ and men’s captains at Stafford Castle GC, Beryl Taylor and Roger Smith chose the NSPCC as their charity.
The total raised included a cheque for £100 from the Diageo Foundation.
In September, Smith was sponsored for shaving off one half of his beard for a week and he raised £700 as a result, while the lady captain’s charity evening in November saw the eventual total boosted by £693.50.
