THE tables were turned when Stafford Rangers under-12s emerged impressive 1-0 victors over high riding Colron Boys, in the Lichfield and District league.

On the opening day of the season, Rangers crashed 5-0 to Colron, but despite not having played for several weeks, the young Boro side impressed in this return.
Injury and illness may have hit the Rangers camp but the team came through and thoroughly deserved all three points.
Stand-in keeper Owen Turner showed excellent handling and distribution but in truth did not have a single shot to save.
The game was settled midway through the first half when Josh Stack got on the end of a fine sweeping move to finish in emphatic style.
Rangers u14s came from behind to defeat Rugeley Rangers 4-2, with goals from Ryan Blagborough (two), Jack Tomlinson and Alex Mackay, while former Boro player Kieran Tomkys- Brown scored one of the Rugeley goals.
