DEEVAS edged a 26-23 success over Saints in the latest Stafford and District Netball League division two matches.
Deevas showed more control and took a slight lead and although they only had six players, Saints matched their opponents with excellent defensive interceptions.
Both teams pressed at the start of the second half and the match could have gone either way.
Saints lost ground but fought back to gain control. It was certainly a good game to watch with only one point in it.
Deevas had to work hard throughout the match and in the end they eventually won the game.
Despite being a player down, Saints proved to be a strong team who worked well together.
Player of match for Deevas was Lisa Purshouse, while Hannah Gask picked up the award for the Saints.
