STONE Dominoes remain rooted to the foot of the North West Counties premier table after going down 4-2 at home to AFC Blackpool on Saturday.

The first threat came from the visitors as a header from Marc Beattie was safely gathered by Dominoes keeper Adam Leake, who then saved well to deny Adam Freeland.
Blackpool took the lead on 37 minutes when Beattie netted, but Dominoes responded well and levelled before the interval when Matt Dodwell found the top corner of the net.
In the second period, Beattie restored Blackpool’s lead with his second of the game, then Ciaran Donnelly made it 3-1. With ten minutes remaining, Dominoes were given late hope when Dodwell converted a penalty, but Blackpool sub Ben Waddington made it 4-2.
This Saturday, Dominoes entertain fellow strugglers Ashton Athletic (3pm). Pictured on the ball is Dominoes player Matt Lowndes against Blackpool.
