Double delight for young Stafford team

THERE was double success for Stafford Rangers under-11s last weekend.

On Saturday they entered two teams in the Jimmy Mullen tournament and both marched through to finals night at the Molineux. Rangers won the title last season.

The following day, Rangers reached the League Cup semi-finals after a 4-0 win over Rushall. Rangers controlled the game from the start and

took the spoils with goals from Alex Hallchurch, Harry Hornby, James Black and Kieran Norman. Boro, whose player of the match was Owen Turner, will now face Sutton Coldfield Blues in the last four.

It was a superb weekend for the young Boro who will also provide both finalists in the Jimmy Mullen under-13 competition.

In the Mid Staffs League Cup, Rangers Stripes u11s defeated Stafford Soccer School 4-1 to reach the last four. Bagshaw-Ray (three) and Willday netted for the Stripes.
