STAFFORD twins Isobel and and Archie Johnson have more in common than first appears.
The Leasowes Primary pupils are members of the National Development squad and train at Uttoxeter Gymnastics Club.
Archie recently competed in the West Midlands floor and vault team competition at Fenton Manor sports complex and helped his club to gold in the under-14 section.
And at the British Schools floor and vault area final he took in the under-11 competition, narrowly missing out on a medal.
Last year, Isobel was a silver medallist in the Uttoxeter inter-club floor and vault event.
She then competed against the best gymnasts from across Staffordshire in the county trials and finished an excellent second, only 0.20 marks behind the winner, gaining a place in the county squad.
Isobel will now meet up with the squad, training towards her first grades competition in March.
Both youngsters put in several hours of training at Uttoxeter GC.
