TITLE-chasing Horns B kept up the pressure on fellow unbeaten leaders NRBL A in the Newport and District Pool League last week.

The Gnosall based team closed the gap at the top to just one point when defeating third place NRBL B 4-2.
While NRBL A were being held for only the second time this season in a 3-3 by midtable Shakespeare A, the Horns B were led home by Colin Pink, Neil Dale and Mick Manning.
The Navigation were also in good form, running out 5-1 home winners over lowly Haberdashers Arms.
In a basement clash, Horns A chalked up their first success of the season, running out 5-1 winners at Kings Head B.
It was a mixed week for the Junction teams. The A side won 4-2 at Shakespeare B, while the B team crashed 6-0 at home to Railway Tavern.
