STAFFORD Town Lionesses were on the receiving end of an 8-1 score when facing Penkridge in the league cup.
There was a confident start from Stafford, but the good work was soon undone as Penkridge caught Town on the counter attack and they soon made it 2- 0.
Town remained positive, with good attacking play by Lucy Butler, Maia Till, Holly Atkins and Asleigh Hopson but this was soon undone again as Penkridge doubled the lead.
Penkridge were still hungry for goals and after leading 6-0 at the break they added two more in the second half. The sole Town response came from Atkins after good approach work by Till.
