WITH Christmas just around the corner, it is a busy time for everyone, including football, and of course our much anticipated home derby game on Boxing Day against Hednesford Town, writes commercial manager Stuart Maun.
Although we encourage visitors on match days at Marston Road, I am sure everyone is aware that about 75 per cent of our revenue is achieved through the bookings achieved in the social club.
Christmas is naturally a time where we can maximise our takings and we hope this year will be similar to previous years.
Why not take advantage of a special offer to hire either of the social club function rooms on a Friday or Saturday night, in January-March 2013, and enjoy a discount of £50 from the normal price?

As many people will know, our finances have sometimes been a bit of an undiscussed agenda item. Nowadays, with the club’s new open approach, revenue (which is a key factor in any business) is talked about and shared with the fans.
We all strive to be honest, and relay information to allow our fans and supporters a full understanding of the current situation. All-in-all with continued growth in our finances, through whatever form they take, it will continually help with our sustainable promotion aim.
You will of course get a chance to put your questions to the board and the manager at the supporters’ forum, arranged for Tuesday, December 11, in the social club. This will be the third fans forum that has been held and we are looking forward to a good turn out on the evening.
