RUGELEY 2nd XV remain top of their respective league section after a narrow away victory on Saturday.

The visitors travelled to Handsworth and came away with a 5-0 success, the sole try scored by Dan Howe.
Rugeley Rugby Club starts its first mini section this Sunday with an open day at its St Augustine’s headquarters.
The sessions will run every Sunday morning from 10.30pm until 11.30pm and will be free of charge. They are aimed at children in school years one, two and three, however other age groups are also welcome.
Club secretary Martin de Ridder said: “We are really looking forward to this development and we are sure the children and their parents will enjoy taking part in a fun and energetic sport.
“The focus in this age category is enjoyment.

Children also play tag rugby at this level not the full contact version that you see adults playing.
“We would welcome any parent just to show up on Sunday with their child and see if they enjoy it.”
