IN what proved a nail-biting finish, Diamonds edged a 32-31 victory over Touchstone, in division one of the Stafford and District Netball League.

There was a strong first quarter from both sides, but a few missed passes from Touchstone enabled Diamonds to take control of the game.
Touchstone then produced some good play, with strong shooting and a good individual performance from player of the match Heather Stone (GK).
However, Diamonds retained a three goal lead until the last quarter with great play from Chette Dicesare-Clayton (C).
Touchstone fought back to level the scores, before Diamonds snatched a win in the dying seconds.
In the other two top flight fixtures, Bluebelles A ran out 31-25 winners over Sapphires, while Kingfisher Gems defeated Saints Juniors 33-21.
