A NEW specialised football pitch in Stafford will be officially opened on Sunday.
Deputy mayor of Stafford, Frank James will mark the opening of the new third generation (3G) all weather, floodlit pitch at Rowley Park. The introduction of the pitch is part of an £800,000 development at the sports stadium.
Funding for the project includes nearly £340,000 from the Football Foundation, money from the developers and a £30,000 grant from Staffs Environment fund.
