THE North Staffordshire Point to Point is just over a week away and this year promises to be even better than ever.
Alongside the racing at Sandon Hall Estate on Saturday, March 30 there will be a beer festival and hog roast, hosted by The Lewis Partnership, at the Dog and Doublet Inn.
One of the highlights of the area’s social and sporting calender the North Staffs Point to Point is attended by thousands annually as both horses and riders tackle a challenging three mile course.
The fun starts at 1pm with North Staffs Hunt members, subscribers and farmers, and the Meynell and South Staffs Hunt members racing for the Lady Dobson Cup.
Last race of the day is at 5pm, just in time to allow visitors to head over to the Dog and Doublet to enjoy the large selection of real ales, beers and lagers on offer at the beer festival.
