BURTON Manor Marauders picked up just one point from two fixtures in the Stafford Table Tennis League division one over the past week.
They went down 9-1 to Burton Manor Vikings, before holding on for a draw against Stone B. Gareth Dunn and Colin Burgess gained maximums for the Vikings and Brendan Sullivan and Phil Birchall a pair each for Stone.
Bradley House move two points clear at the top of division two with a whitewash of Weston Quasars. The Quasars only fared slightly better against Burntwood Community, who secured their first victory of the season 8-2.
Mark Balant collected a treble and Peter Milner and Dave Russell doubles.
St Leonards C had mixed fortunes going down 9-1 to St Leonards E. They then met St Leonards Villains in a match where no fewer than six of the games went the full five set distance before the C side came out on top 7-3.
Mac MacFarlane posted four out of six while best for the opposition were the unbeaten duo of John Short and Paul Richards.
In the only division three fixture, St Leonards D move clear at the top with a 6-4 defeat of Weston Pioneers despite a maximum from Roger Peet. Mingli Fu and Stephen Cotterill replied with a brace each for the Saints.
St Leonards Bullets and County Officers D are a point behind but with a game in hand.
