WITH four out of their next six league games at home, Stafford Rangers will be keen to improve their play-off aspirations in the coming weeks.
After an impressive 2-0 win at in-form Ilkeston this week, Rangers return for two successive matches at Marston Road in the space of four days.
The sequence starts with the visit of 18th place Frickley Athletic on Saturday (3pm), the Yorkshire outfit having lost all 11 league away games this term.
Depending on other results, a Boro win this weekend could put Greg Clowes’ team within striking distance of the Evo Stik top five.
On Tuesday night, Rangers receive Rushall Olympic in a re-arranged league fixture (7.45pm).
Clowes praised the team for their solid team performance at Ilkeston and will be looking for more of the same over the coming weeks.
After two successive home games, Rangers travel to leaders North Ferriby United (Feb 16), then visit lowly Stocksbridge Park Steels (Feb 23). It it then back home for successive matches against two teams currently in the top five, Witton Albion (Feb 26) and Marine (March 2).
Ahead of the Frickley game, Clowes confirmed that midfielder Michael Carr would be back in contention after missing the Ilkeston trip through work commitments.
Rangers have now re-arranged their away game at Whitby Town, postponed last month, for Wednesday, April 17.
