STAFFORD Rangers Youth marched majestically into the semi-finals of the County Youth Cup with a convincing win over Wednesfield.

The outcome was an impressive 6-1 success which may flatter Rangers but the result was never in doubt as Boro dominated.
Tom Vaughan started the goal rush with a drive from the edge of the box which went in off the post after only six minutes.
Alex Curtis scored the second from a tight angle, before a disputed penalty allowed Wednesfield back into the match just before the break.
Curtis put any anxieties to bed when he first curled a stunning free-kick into the top corner and then was on hand to finish a breakaway move initiated by Billy Thorley and Aaron Audley.
Thorley himself got on the scoresheet having rounded the keeper and Alex Hannan finished the scoring with a rasping drive.
Rangers will be pleased with the improved tempo of their passing from the previous week’s performance which in no small measure was down to the midfield quartet of Thorley, Vaughan, Josh Renshaw and Joe Kroll.
