MORE than 100 ladies attended a lady captain’s charity lunch at Brocton Hall Golf Club.
The event was held to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK, with guest speaker, Alison Nicholas MBE, who captained the victorious 2011 Solheim Cup team. She provided a fascinating insight into her life on the Ladies European
and LPGA tours and sharing some of her experiences as a Solheim Cup captain.
It was a fantastic start to Brocton lady captain Amanda Horne’s fund-raising activities for her charity as proceeds from the lunch, together with a silent auction, raised over £2.500.
