STAFFORD RUFC Ladies showed their improvement when visiting Kidderminster Carolians on Sunday.
The outcome was another victory for Kidderminster, but only by a score of 32- 15, Stafford having given a very good account of themselves.
The hosts put five early points on the board and it took Stafford some 15 min- utes before they started to make an impression, putting in some immense
tackles and outstanding rucks. Just before the break they were rewarded with a good try from number eight and captain Tessa Hibbs.
Although the home side were always ahead, Stafford kept plugging away, showing great determination and full back Lauren Thompson was another try scorer for the visitors.
Zoe Trimm, back from a stint in Afghanistan, also impressed for Stafford and was awarded the team’s player of the match trophy. New players are welcome for the senior and junior teams (junior ages 12-17 years).
