In the Staffs Ladies League, Stafford LHC firsts’ chances of promotion took a major blow on Saturday when they could only manage a goalless draw away to Leek seconds.

In a game where Stafford dominated the possession and kept Leek pinned in their own half all game, luck was against them as chance after chance went begging.
Leek got eleven players behind the ball and showed no attacking desire, opting to clear the ball out of play rather than moving forward when they won back possession.
This resulted in Leek not having a shot on goal the entire game. Stafford are now four points behind promotion rivals Lichfield seconds with three fixtures to play.
On Saturday, Stafford firsts visit third place Bloxwich firsts, with leaders Lichfield seconds at basement outfit Streetly.
Stafford LHC seconds, who occupy eighth spot, entertain Wolves.
